Case Study 2: The Fastly Content Delivery Network (CDN) internet outage
On Tuesday the June 8th, 2021, Fastly’s CDN service became unavailable at around 6am (Eastern Time). This downtime left majority of companies using Fastly in a network downtime status. Some of the websites that were affected include Amazon, Reddit and the New York Times.
